Golden Jubilee of G B Pant Hospital celebrated

The Golden Jubilee of the G B Pant Hospital was celebrated today with Vice President Hamid Ansari and Delhi's lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung gracing the occasion.
Ansari emphasised on the need for providing health care of high quality to all sections of the society and suggested the need for increasing the budget for this purpose.
Jung in his address highlighted the historic as well as strategic location of the GB Pant hospital where it caters to the needs of a large section of the population of Delhi.
He remarked that the Delhi Government hospitals should become the model hospitals providing service at par with the private hospitals.

The vice president also released the 'Souvenir' on the occasion and also felicitated the distinguished alumni of the hospital.
A short documentary film on the 50 years' journey of the Hospital titled "Temple of Hope" was also shown during the function.
