BJP workers today distributed 'chole kulche' for Re 1 to underline their leader Narendra Modi's assurance that 'Good days are about to come' following the party's landslide victory in Lok Sabha polls.
"The aim behind selling chole kulche for Re 1 is to tell the common people that good days are about to come with Modi's victory," said Rajeev Agarwal, a local BJP leader.
Agarwal said that the 'chole kulche' was sold at around 150 stalls in the Siyani Gate Market of Ghaziabad.
"In the last 10 years, people have witnessed massive inflation. But now, with Modi set to become Prime Minister, people will get relief," he added.
