"The state government is spending much money on education, but barring a few schools, the government-run schools are not delivering expected results.
"Government schools have enough resources and they should utilise them properly to provide better education and discipline to students and come to the level of good schools," Manjhi said.
He said the government-run schools should take inspiration from private schools that were doing a better job.
Praising the institution, he said students here were provided good education and taught better behaviour and that was the reason they were excelling and reaching greater heights in life.
"I wish such education is provided to all so that they become good citizens of India and better members of society," Manjhi said.
Manjhi exhorted the administrators at the school to provide place to poor students under the Right To Education (RTE) and induct 25 per cent of such children.
Manjhi called upon the cooperative banks to work efficiently so that duping by chit fund companies could be checked in the state and asked them to inculcate more transparency in their operations and promised all help from the state government.
He said henceforth, representatives from the cooperative sector would also participate as members in district 20-point programme committees.
