Governor, CM review progress of declaration of MU results

All the results of Mumbai University should be declared at the earliest and no student should suffer on account of delay in declaration of results, Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao said here today.
Rao was speaking at a meeting at Raj Bhavan to review the delay in declaration of results of the University of Mumbai for the year 2017. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior education officials attended the meeting.
The incharge Vice-Chancellor assured that all efforts are being made for early declaration of results including mobilizing teachers for remaining evaluation as also dealing with technical issues of on-line system as early as possible, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.

Rao and Fadnavis said necessary steps should be taken to ensure that the admission of students from Mumbai University pursuing Higher Education should be carried out without any hindrances.
In case any students miss out the admission because they could not furnish required eligibility within stipulated time period, and if they are found eligible subsequently, then such students should be considered for admission in super-numerary seats for this year in consultation with concerned Apex Regulatory Body, they said.
Where results are not declared, it was directed that the students may be admitted provisionally based on an undertaking stating that the admission is provisional and subject to the condition that in case subsequently they don't fulfill the eligibility criteria, the admission would be automatically cancelled.

The issue of revising the academic calendar taking into consideration the stipulation of 90 teaching days in a semester as per the UGC policy was also discussed at the meeting, the spokesperson said.
