He congratulated the Commission for undertaking various initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of young voters that resulted in increasing the overall voting percentage in the recent elections, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.
The Governor released the booklet 'Major Initiatives' brought out by the State Election Commission on this occasion, he said.
J S Saharia, State Election Commissioner briefed the Governor about various initiatives taken by the Commission such as voter registration, registration of political parties and voter awareness.
