All IAS, IPS and IFoS officers have been asked to file their Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) by this month end.
These returns are in addition to the new ones now required to be submitted by the officers under the new provisions of the Lokpal Act by April this year.
The government has also asked the concerned authorities to harmonise the respective service rules in such a way that the officers are not asked to file same property details twice annually, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
"It is, thus, reiterated and clarified that IPRs indicating the position as on January 1, 2015 are required to be filed on or before January 31, 2015," it said.
The officers of all India services--Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS)--have also been asked to file their assets details by April, the order said.
As per the Lokpal Act, every public servant shall file the returns of his assets and liabilities, including that of his spouse and dependent family members, on March 31 every year on or before July 31 of that year.
For the current year, the last date for filing these returns was September 15, which was later extended to December-end and now till April 30, 2015.
