Union Minister Piyush Goyal today said the Centre was committed to take along every state in its endeavour for speedy development, which should be above politics to help people get the benefits.

"I am visiting every state concerning my departments, Energy, Coal, New & Renewable Energy, to work with the states for progress," he said, adding, there should be no politics in development related matters.

Goel, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a project of Power Grid Corporation of India and announce the commencement of work of NTPC's North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (3X660 MW) during his visit to Ranchi tomorrow.

The Karanpura project was laid by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2003 and work did not start, he added.

According to a release by the Press Information Bureau, Modi will inaugurate the 765 KV Ranchi-Dharamjaygarh-Sipat Inter-Regional Transmission Line in Ranchi.

The 392 km line is the first 765KV inter-regional link between Eastern Region and Western Region as part of transmission scheme associated with Damodar Valley Corporation generation projects to evacuate/transfer power from Eastern Region to the Western Region and the substations are built in Ranchi and Dharamjaygarh in Chhatisgarh.

"I have come here to review PM's programme and today I will meet officials of my department to know their problems," he said.

Meanwhile, foolproof security arrangements are complete at Prabhat Tara Ground in Ranchi's Dhurwa area where the prime minister will inaugurate the line at 11.30 am, police said.
