"The Centre may consider the constitution of a high-level committee to be monitored by the Prime Minister's Office or the Union Home Ministry to examine all outstanding issues of refugees and displaced persons in Jammu and Kashmir," minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma, said.

He was addressing a public meeting at Gurha Talab area of Akhnoor border belt.

The minister's statement comes in the backdrop of a recent meeting of a high-level delegation of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi.
