Grenade explosion at RIMS campus in Imphal, vehicles damaged

Unidentified persons lobbed a powerful hand grenade, which exploded near the residential quarter of the Medical Superintendent of Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) located at Lamphelpat in Imphal West last night, the police said today.
No casualty was reported in the incident, a senior police officer said adding the official quarter of the Medical Superintendent was guarded by a team of 4th IRB.
A four-wheeler and a two-wheeler were badly damaged in the explosion, the officer said.
