Groundnut oil decline on reduced demand, good arrivals

Groundnut oil prices slipped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on reduced demand from stockists and retailers on the back of good arrivals from the producing belts.
Refined palmolein also eased further owing to weak demand from retailers.
Meanwhile, castorseeds and castoroil commercial moved up due to mild offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseedoil maintained its stable trend in the absence of large scale demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 880 from Monday's closing level of Rs 890 and refined edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 496 from Rs 498.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold gained Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,100 from overnight close of Rs 4075 and castoroil commercial added Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 850 as against Rs 845 previously.
However, linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
