Groundnut oil drops on lower demand, fresh arrivals

Groundnut oil prices dropped at the oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and retailers amid fresh arrivals producing regions.
Refined palmolein also eased on reduced retail buying.
Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial moved up owing to good offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseeds oil held steady due to lack of any major buying.
In the edible section, groundnut oil fell by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 785 from wednesday's closing level of Rs 800.
Refined palmolein also slipped by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 568 from Rs 570.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold firmed up by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,150 from overnight closing level at Rs 4,140 and castoroil commercial edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 860 as against Rs 858 previously.
Linseeds oil unchanged to Rs 745 per 10 kg.
