Groundnutoil strengthens on firm demand

Groundnutoil strengthened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to firm demand stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals.
Refined palmolein recovered on renewed demand from retailers.
In the non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercials dropped owing to subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
While, linseedoil maintained its stable trend in the absence of any major buying.
In edible section, groundnutoil surged by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 910 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 890 and refined palmolein gained by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 455 as against to Rs 451 previously.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 125 per 100 kg to Rs 3,950 from previous close of Rs 4,075 and castoroil commercial declined by Rs 25 per 10 kg to Rs 820 from 845. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 860 per 10 kg.
