The Senior Citizen Council alleged it has been organising the activities for senior citizens for the past 33 years and more than 500 people participate everyday at the Old Age Corner Shed in Deer Park at Safdarjung Enclave but DDA restrained them from doing so on the ground that the activities create a lot of noise which diturbs other residents in the area.
The petitioners also alleged DDA has locked their store room where they keep belongings like floor mats, harmonium, tabla etc.
In an interim order, a bench of acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw had on Wednesday directed DDA to allow the petitioners to use the store room. (more)
