GRP, Delhi Police discuss issues of coordination

Matters of coordination amongst the various state units of Government Railway Police (GRP) was among the discussion points today at a meeting of the senior officials of the force along with Delhi Police representatives.
The meeting of senior officials of Delhi Police and GRP of several states and Union Territories was held at the office of the DCP (New Delhi).
Special CP (Law and Order) Deepak Mishra, Joint CP (New Delhi) MK Meena and Special DGP (Railways) Maithli Sharan Gupta took part in the meeting along with top GRP officials from Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Delhi.

Issues of coordination among the various GRPs of nearby states/UTs and exchange of information pertaining to criminals active across state borders were discussed at the meeting.
Officers also discussed the need for swift and prompt response in sensitive cases, effective communication among the control rooms of various GRPs, etc.
