"The new studio has the capacity to support more than 500 employees across teams. We have over 250 employees in India across engineering, quality assurance, product management, analytics and art.
"We are planning to take our headcount to 500 employees over the next two years," GSN Games India Country Manager Arun Dutta told PTI.
He said that the new facility will position GSN Games India to lead game development and product management for some of the successful social casino apps, including Bingo Bash and GSN Casino.
GSN Games India studio is one of the only game development studios from a western company that drives game development from start to finish in Bengaluru, he said.
GSN Games is a joint venture company of Sony Pictures and AT&T Entertainment. The company was founded in 2010 as Bash Gaming and was acquired by GSN Games in 2014.
