Guj: Pak boat seized by BSF in Kutch, fishermen escape

A Pakistani fishing boat was seized by the Border Security Force (BSF) near Sir Creek area off the Gujarat coast, an official said Friday.

Fishermen on the boat, however, managed to escape by swimming towards the Pakistani side after spotting BSF patrol boats in the creek area, said the official, adding that nothing suspicious was found from the seized boat.

A search operation was launched by the BSF in the adjoining creek areas after the incident.

In the past too, BSF has either caught Pak fishermen, or found abandoned boats, as they often venture into the Indian side for fishing.
