Three labourers died of electrocution while putting up an electricity pole at Rampara in Gir Somnath district today, police said.
Two others sustained injuries, said an official of the Prabhas Patan police station.
The deceased were identified as Rohit Jadhav (18), Vijay Chavda (19) and Adam Sama (24). Their bodies were taken to Veraval Civil Hospital for autopsy.
The victims were contract labourers, engaged in work of erecting poles for providing electricity to farmers in the area.
They apparently received shock when the pole touched the high-tension wire overhead, the official said.
