Marketmen said increased demand from beer makers against shortage of stocks, mainly pushed up gur raskat prices in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat prices climbed Rs 100 to settle at Rs 3,100-3,150 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,900-4000, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,100-3,150, chakku Rs 3,350-3,400, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
