Gur prices remain steady on little demand

Steady conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital following muted demand amid increased supplies.
A similar trend depicted in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets.
Marketmen said negligible demand due to off-season, along with increased arrivals mainly kept gur prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,900-4,000, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,400-3,450, chakku Rs 3,425-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
