He said the residents need not be panicky about dengue and the situation is under control. So far no death has been reported in the district due to dengue, he added.
Gurgaon general hospital has a facility of platelet separator machine and till now 25 people have availed the facility. The charges are Rs 8,500 for getting the platelets separated from blood, the DC said.
750 suspected cases of dengue came out so far, whose blood samples were tested and only 228 cases were found to be positive for dengue, he said.
The platelets should be transfused in the patient if his or her platelet count goes below 9,000, he said.
The district administration has prepared a list of volunteers who are ready to donate and their list is available on the website of district administration with the names of registered donors, their mobile numbers, blood group and addresses, he said.
Satyaprakash said that the administration presently has 5 fumigation machines. Ten more fumigation machines are likely to arrive by Tuesday evening, he said.
The administration has requested the SGT Medical College to extend help in case the general hospital is unable to accommodate all patients and they have accepted the request, the DC said.
