Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today once again targeted the state government on law and order situation, saying there was a need of its improvement.
"A bank was looted in Lucknow while a lawyer was killed in Allahabad by a sub-inspector. There is a scope of improvement of law and order", Naik said today while addressing a gathering at Devgarh Mahotsava here.
On alleged corruption charges against state Mining Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, Naik, without naming him, said, "In Maharashtra Gayatri is name of ladies, while in UP the name is famous due to a man."
However, he refused to comment on Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Mohd Azam Khan who reportedly met President Pranab Mukherjee against him.
"Today instead of raking an issue and debating on it, people raise hue and cry over it," the Governor said.
