The couple, who filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage, were having a talk about their split for months so things could end smoothly, reported Us magazine.
"It only looks sudden, but everything was worked out months ago so paperwork could be filed and the marriage could be ended quickly and easily.
"Things were rocky before then but they tried to make the marriage work. But it just couldn't. A lot of the feeling was gone," an insider said.
The couple, who have Kingston, nine, Zuma, six and 17-month-old Apollo together, have filed the documents for joint custody of their children.
