A case has been registered against unknown persons at Sahibabad police station.
Saurabh, who owns a hardware shop in Pipe Market in the area, found his shop ransacked today.
"Saurabh got to know about the loot today morning when he reached his shop. He told police that things worth Rs 10 lakh have been looted by burglars," said a senior police officer.
Police suspect the number of burglars could be more than two as one person could not have executed the loot.
After the incident, some shopkeepers staged a protest against police, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
