Haryana all set for municipal polls tomorrow

All necessary arrangements have been made for smooth and peaceful conduct of elections to the seven municipal corporations in Haryana tomorrow.
The municipal corporations which will go to the polls are Ambala, Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat, Hisar, Rohtak and Yamunanagar.
Besides, polls will also be held in two municipal committees of Farukh Nagar (Gurgaon) and Kalanaur (Rohtak), Haryana's Election Commissioner Dharam Vir said here today.
The counting of votes in the municipal committees will be made immediately after the poll. The counting of votes will be held on June 4 in case of Municipal Corporations polls, he informed.
A total of 1,686 candidates are in fray for the 144 wards of seven corporations.
Of the total 1,696 polling stations, 251 have been declared sensitive and 335 hyper-sensitive.
