Haryana gives one-time interest waiver on property tax arrears

Property owners in municipal areas of Haryana can pay their property tax dues and arrears for the years 2010-11 to 2016-17 with one-time rebate of 15 per cent by July 14, 2017.
One-time waiver of interest on the arrears of property tax would be allowed to all tax payers if their arrears are paid by August 31, 2017, Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain said here today, according to an official release.
She said 1 per cent rebate would also be given if the payment of property tax is made online.
She said that exemption of 25 per cent was being given to those property owners who clear all the property tax dues and arrears.

As the scheme was receiving overwhelming response from the people, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved to extend the scheme, she said.
