Haryana govt approves training fee norms

Haryana government today approved the training fee norms for Private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) situated in the rural and urban areas of the state.
The fee structure will be effective from the session beginning August 2015-16.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Industrial Training Department said that the training fee norms have been approved as recommended by centre's Director General, Employment and Training (DGE and T).
He said that the training fee norms have been finalised based on the criteria as per which the trades have been categorised under engineering and non-engineering group.
The spokesman said that different fee structure is permitted for ITIs located in rural and urban areas as per which 10 per cent increase is permitted for the ITIs located in urban areas.
A uniform escalation of seven per cent per annum would be given starting from the year 2016, he added.
The spokesman said that for private ITIs situated in rural areas, training fee of Rs 15,000 per annum has been fixed for Engineering Trades and Rs 12,000 per annum for Non Engineering Trades.
For private ITIs situated in urban areas, training fee of Rs 16,500 per annum has been fixed for Engineering Trades and Rs 13,200 per annum for Non Engineering Trades.
However, the ITIs which are rated in 4 star or 5 star grading under framework notified by DGET would be entitled to charge 20 per cent higher fees, he further added.
