Police today arrested a wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head from near a bridge on outer bypass of Jhajjar road in this district and seized a country-made pistol from him.
Rakesh Mokharia, a former national level wrestler, was declared "most wanted" by Rohtak Police in the 2017 Balbir murder case, the police said.
Acting on a tip-off that Mokharia, carrying an illegal weapon, was roaming near the bridge with an intention to commit a criminal offence, a police team rushed to the spot and arrested him, they said.
A case was registered against the accused at Shivaji Colony Police Station, the police said.
