Haryana: Recruitment agents to put registration number in ads

The Haryana government has decided that agents who wish to recruit citizens for employment abroad under the Emmigration Act 1983 shall display their registration number in advertisements they publish in any form of media, including on wall or vehicles.
A spokesman of the Home Department here said today that the publisher of the advertisement would also verify and retain the copy of registration certificate, failing which he/she would be prosecuted.
The decision comes after it was noticed that some agents, who were not registered or licensed, were allegedly cheating people on the pretext of sending them abroad.
According to the spokesman, the Director General of Police, Director General, Information and Public Relations, all Deputy Commissioners, Commissioner of Police and Superintendent of Police have been asked for strict compliance of the same.
