Haryana to increase income limit under 'Anusuchit Jati scheme'

Decision to this effect was taken in a review meeting held here under the chairmanship of Hooda.

Hooda issued directions to the concerned officials that 'Kanyadan Rashi' being given under Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Viwah Shagun Yojna should reach the beneficiary families at the time of marriage so that it could be utilised for the purpose it was given.

Self declared certificate given by the girls would be sufficient to avail the benefit under the scheme, he said, according to an official release here.

Under the scheme annual scholarship between Rs 5,000 and Rs 14,000 was given to the girl students studying science, commerce and other professional courses.
