Haryana is taking its milk brand Vita online and opening more booths in the state to tap the growing demand for the brand, a state minister said today.
The state officials are also in talks with the railway officials to make available Vita brand products and Hafed products on Indian rails, Haryana Cooperation Minister Manish Kumar Grover said here today.
"Apart from this, Haryana's Vita products would be supplied online in NCR area and more than 200 Vita booths would be established in the state including Chandigarh," Grover said.
Grover said that at present there are 87 booths of Vita in the state which would soon be increased to over 200.
The minister said that about 30-35 booths of Vita would also be opened in Chandigarh.
Keeping in view the competition in market, the six plants of Vita in the state would be strengthened technically, he said.
He said that at present Vita was earning a profit of about Rs 30 crore.
Grover said that the department had been making efforts to start online supply of these products. For this, a pilot project has been started in Ballabgarh and soon this system would be started in NCR and other areas.
"NCR is a big market for Vita and there is huge demand of Vita products," he told reporters.
