Haryana will soon have its State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) as the proposal has been agreed by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
The decision to set up SAT has been taken to provide quicker redressal of employees' grievances regarding service matters.
Also, it was considered advantageous and essential that setting up of SAT would reduce the number of court cases, particularly service matters of employees, a spokesman of Haryana Government said here today.
He said that the Administrative Tribunal will be in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Tribunals Act 1985 as amended from time to time and Administrative Tribunals (Procedure for Appointment of Members) Rules 2011.
He said that the Tribunal would have a Chairman and two members.
The Chairman of the proposed Administrative Tribunal would be nominated by the Chief Justice of the High Court and approved by the State Government before it is sent to the Department of Personnel and Training for approval of the Competent Authority as per the provisions contained in the Administrative Tribunals Act 1985 as amended from time to time, the spokesman said.
