Jammu and Kashmir DGP S P Vaid today said the police has taken several measure to check the misuse of cyberspace for anti-national activities.

He said also 'Bharat Darshan' tours are being conducted and sports activities organised at large scale to channelise the energies of the people, particularly the youth.

"The Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken a number of steps to keep a check on people who are misusing the cyberspace by uploading anti-national and radicalized material on social websites," the Director General of Police said while interacting with probationary Assistant Commandants of CRPF's 49th batch here.

The batch of 30 CRPF officers is presently undergoing training at CRPF Academy Kadarpur in Haryana and met Vaid at police headquarters here.

"It is always a pleasure to interact with young trainee officers who come to the police organisations with fresh ideas," the DGP said.

Commending the role of CRPF in the state, particularly in Kashmir Valley, Vaid said the CRPF, Police, Army and other security forces are fighting together "like brothers against the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir".

He advised the trainee officers to approach their future tasks calmly and without any bias towards a particular caste, creed or colour.
