A bench comprising Justice A.Selvam and Justice V S Ravi directed the Police to produce the authenticated document without merely informing the court that the detenu had been murdered by his father-in-law and he had also given a confessional statement to that effect.
The Petitioner S.Selvi of Palanganatham in Madurai submitted that her brother had Sriram married Sonia, daughter of V.Eesakkimuthu of Srivaikuntam in Tuticorin district.
Sriram on being persuaded by Essakkimuthu went to Srivaikuntam on October 8, 2013. Nothing could be heard from him since then and his mobile phone had also been switched off.
Selvi filed a complaint with the Tuticorin SP and Srivaikuntam Inspector to save her brother. She was told by her relatives and friends that her brother was under illegal detention of Eesakkimuthu and that he was trying to remarry his daughter off to some other person.
