A bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice M. Sathyanarayanan disposed of the petition filed by Chennai office of Blue Cross of India, saying it had not placed any specific material on record in the form of photographs to substantiate the plea of such slaughtering by the way side.
"In the absence of any further material, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the concerned authorities to ensure to the reliance of the rules and norms for slaughtering. Consequently the miscellaneous petition is closed," the court held.
