HC junks plea of medical aspirant seeking seat under reserved category

The Madras High Court made it clear that candidates cannot get a medical seat in Tamil Nadu under reserved category on the basis of a community certificate obtained from any other state.

Justice S Vaidyanathan dismissed a petition by S Geetha, belonging to the Schedule Caste, seeking direction of the court to the Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu, to consider a seat under the reserved category for her on the basis of a community certificate issued in Andhra Pradesh
