HCL offers Rs 1 cr to TTD run orphanage

Tech major HCL today made an offering of Rs one crore to the shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala, temple officials said.
Company Chairman Shiv Nadar handed over a cheque for the amount to TTD Chairman C H Krishnamurthy and TTD Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao at the shrine, the official said.
The amount would be utilized for the benefit of 'S V Balamandir', a children's orphanage set up seven decades ago by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, which runs the hill temple, the temple official added.
