On the allegation of acquisition and possession of the ill-gotten assets, the sleuths conducted simultaneous raids at the houses and offices of head clerk Chaitanya Charan Rout, who works in the R&B division of Kendrapara.
Teams of vigilance cops raided Rout's residence at Kendrapara and Markat Nagar here and also at his paternal house in Hajari Bagicha of Kendrapara. Rout's office was also raided, a press release issued by the vigilance directorate here.
Head clerk Lalit Mohan Patnaik was arrested for allegedly demanding Rs 2000 from one Sugree Bagh of Kechhupani village of the same tehsil in connection with a mutation case filed by the latter for issuance of Records of Right (RoR).
