Heat wave back in Punjab, Haryana

After three days of respite, sizzling heat was back in most places of Punjab and Haryana with Hisar turning out to be the hottest place in the region.
Hisar in Haryana recorded maximum temperature at 45 deg C, up by three notches above normal, Met office said here today.
However, Ambala had a high of 37.6 deg C.
In Punjab, Amritsar sizzled at 44.4 deg C, up by three notches above normal while Ludhiana and Patiala had a maximum of 43.2 deg C and 39 deg C respectively.
UT Chandigarh had a high of 37.7 deg C.
Met department in its forecast said dust storm or thunderstorm along with light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places in both the state.
