Among other places in Haryana, Bhiwani's mercury was 44.8 degree C and Ambala recorded its maximum at 42.7 degree C, four degrees above normal.
Narnaul and Karnal boiled at 43 degree C each, rising by upto four degrees above normal.
UT Chandigarh, joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, had a high temperature of 41.7 degree C, four notches above normal.
MeT department predicted dry weather conditions in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
