Heatwave continues in Raj; Barmer and Kota sizzle at 42.8 deg

Heatwave conditions continued today with most places sizzling in Rajasthan as day temperatures soared well above 40 degrees Celsius.
Sriganganagar was only place where maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius.
Barmer and Kota were recorded the hottest with mercury touching 42.8 degrees Celsius followed by 42.3 in Jaisalmer, 42.2 in Churu, 41.8 in Jodhpur, 41.6 in Bikaner, 41.4 in Ajmer, 41.3 in Jaipur, 40.2 in Pilani and 40 degrees Celsius in Dabok respectively.
MeT department has predicted dust and thunderstorms with light rains at isolated places in the state in next 24 hours.
