Heavy rains in Port Blair, flight returns

A Port Blair-bound SpiceJet plane today returned here as it could not land there due to heavy rains pounding the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
A aircraft with 124 passengers left for Port Blair from here at 12.50 PM.
However, after a few hours the flight returned here in view of rains in the scheduled destination, airport sources said.
The flight is expected to leave early morning tomorrow and the passengers have been made to stay in the airport.
