Forest Department Office went missing after encashing a cheque from a bank, police said.
Nagarathinam had taken the cheque from the office in April.
He came from the bank to the office and thereafter went missing.
Investigation with bank revealed that he had encashed the cheque for Rs 1.39 lakh before going missing. It was not known whether official had been kidnapped for money or he went missing himself with the money.
