The helicopter made a hard landing and suffered substantial damage, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The men were shooting for an episode of "A Haunting for Destination America". The helicopter struck a tree and landed on its right side in a wooded area.
The men were rushed to Bryan St Joseph Regional Hospital. One was airlifted with leg injuries and another man was sent by ambulance with minor injuries.
Both are in stable condition and expected to survive.
