During a routine checking of vehicles, police officers of Baishnabnagar Police Station of the district found 2 kg 700 gm heroine stashed in three packets inside a car when the stopped in for checking near PTS More close to Farakka, the police said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Md Noor Naquib and Chirantan Mondal, both residents of Baishnabnagar. The driver of the vehicle has also been held and interrogation was on to know the if more people were involved in the racket, the police added.
