High security number plates in JK this month

State Transport Minister Qamar Ali Akhoon said the HSRP system will help check theft and misuse of vehicles.

It will also bring efficiency in the traffic system, he said at a review meeting of the transport department here.

The Supreme Court earlier this year directed the states and Union Territories to ensure High Security Registration Plates for all vehicles by June 15, or face contempt proceedings.
