The procurement price for grafted mango varieties will be Rs 6.50 per kg, and Rs 5.50 per kg for seedling mango varieties, an official spokesman said.
He said 300 metric tonnes (MT) of seedling mango and 200 MT of grafted mango will be procured under the scheme.
The procurement of mango under MIS will be undertaken between July 1 and August 15, 2017.
The spokesman said that procurement will be carried out through HPMC and HIMFED and these agencies will be allowed handling charges at Rs 1.30 per kg.
As many as 34 fruit collection centres were proposed to be opened under the scheme, the spokesperson said.
The fruit will be procured only from those farmers /orchardists, who possess horticulture card and own 10 bighas or less land under mango cultivation.
