The elections would be held for 52 Municipal bodies, including 29 Municipal Councils and 23 Nagar Panchayats, except for the Shimla and Dharamsala Municipal Corporations, an official spokesman said.
The nomination papers would be filed between 11 am to 3 pm on December 26,28 and 29 at designated places. Scrutiny of nomination papers would be done on December 30 while withdrawal of nominations would be permitted till January 1, he said.
The counting of votes would take place immediately after the polling on January 10, the spokesman added.
