Hindustan Unilever Q3 up 17.87 per cent to Rs 1,252 cr

FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) today reported a 17.87 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 1,252.17 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,062.31 crore in the October-December quarter of 2013-14.
HUL's net sales climbed to Rs 7,579.18 crore in Q3, 2014-15, compared with Rs 7,037.78 crore during the same period of last fiscal, up 7.69 per cent, the company said in a BSE filing.
Shares of HUL were trading at Rs 893.90 per scrip on the BSE during the afternoon trade, down 5.15 per cent from its previous close.
