The Naukri Job Speak Index for February 2015 stood at 1,639, recording 10 per cent increase in the hiring activity over the same month last year.
"After being flat in January 2015, it looks like the job market is getting on track. With economy showing signs of positive growth and with the appraisal season round the corner, we can expect the job market to gain further momentum in the coming months," Naukri.Com Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer V Suresh said.
On the other-hand, auto, agriculture and as well as the construction and engineering sector saw a YoY decline of 20 per cent, 9 per cent, 8 per cent and 4 per cent respectively in February this year.
Geographically, Pune and Hyderabad were leading the tally and registered a growth of 36 per cent and 24 per cent respectively in period under review.
Demand for professionals in four sectors -- packaging, IT, web designing and consulting -- grew fairly strong and moderate growth was seen in the HR, BFSI, and Marketing during February 2015 on YoY basis.
