A Congress member in Lok Sabha today raised the issue of "tough" class XII mathematics paper and asked the government to ensure that experienced teachers are assigned for drafting questions.
K V Thomas said the government should take a lenient view towards the students as the question paper was difficult and most had difficulty in solving the problems.
Raising the matter during Zero Hour, he said experienced teachers should be assigned to set the paper which should not be tough on the average students.
The CBSE Class XII mathematics paper yesterday was described by students as "extremely difficult".
